I love a good book. I love to curl up and get cozy under a nice warm blanket with a cup of tea and just read. This year for Christmas, I received a book that I absolutely loved and I wanted to share. It’s about overall health and wellness, so it can help ANYBODY who wants to change ANY aspect of their life; not just their weight. It’s called The Wellness Code*, and each chapter is written by a professional in the fields of health, fitness and nutrition.
Let me start off by saying that this post is not sponsored, I genuinely loved this book. I had only gotten halfway through it before I was recommending it to friends and I even purchased another copy to give to someone because I thought it would be helpful for her. As I mentioned before, this book can help anyone who is unhappy in any aspect of their life, so don’t think that because you are in great shape and physically healthy that this couldn’t help you too.
The book has chapters written by leading experts including: Kelli Calabrese, John Spencer Ellis, EdD, Linda M. McCarthy, Ph.D, Mallory Cargile, Briar Munro, Lisa Fox Bail CK, La-Verne Parris, Helen M Thamm, MS, APRN, CPC, Annie Hodgskiss, Gavin Kent, Dexter Tenison, Camille Scielzi, Inger Pols, Sabreena CopeLyn, PhD, CPEC, SPHR, Lisa Mercier, Katrina Luise Everhart, RYT, Warren Martin, David Krainiak, Diane Scarazzini, Joe Martin, Michael Coleman, Kevin M. Harvey, Kristen Karvey DPT, Gregg Viscuso, Justine SanFilippo, Dorothy Jantzen, Sincere Hogan, Dough Duerr, and Raymond James. Now I know this looks like a big mess of names and credentials, but I wanted to provide them so you had an idea of what experts had contributed to this book.
The book is a very easy read, and it breaks down topics that could become very scientific and confusing, so that anyone can understand them. It gives tips, tricks, step-by-step guides and examples so you can tailor the principles of this book to meet your needs.
So how is all of this my “ultimate wellness tip?” The tip is to read the book! I promise you it will open your eyes to a new way of thinking and will help you get to where you want to be (if you apply what you learn from it!) It encompasses so many aspects of life and depicts how one can effect the other. Most importantly, it helps you discover what may be holding you back from achieving true happiness.
